Steps to become certified by PRODEFOR

1	Applicant forest owner meets with PRODEFOR’s representative and he is informed about the Group Structure, Forest Master Plan and the FSC™ Principles and Criteria..
2	If the forest owner decides to join PRODEFOR, he will complete the corresponding application form. If he meets PRODEFOR’S necessary conditions he will sign a membership contract and a pre-auditing visit to the Applicant’s property will be agreed.
3	As a result of the pre-auditing visit, forest owner will be advised on what to do in order to reach the level of compliance that the FSC™ standards demand.
4	Once the forest owner has informed PRODEFOR ,that he has implemented the necessary changes to meet FSC™ standards, PRODEFOR will proceed with the final auditing.
5	If the audit result is positive, PRODEFOR will report to the FSC™ accreditation Certification Body, who is responsible of ratifying the owner´s acceptance to PRODEFOR Group, and a FSC™ CERTIFICATE will be issued in favour of the applicant, once he has duly signed the membership contract with PRODEFOR.
6	The owner will be subject to annual audits, both internal (PRODEFOR) and external (Certification Body).
