Radiata pine logs

The pieces come from Radiata Pine forests, which are extracted from three types of products, defined by its quality, diameter and length: pruned industrial logs, sawlogs and pulpwood.

Types of pieces and their characteristics

a) Pieces Trimmed:

Have a minimum diameter of 28 cms. Its main feature is that the tree was pruned at an early age and he can get clear wood to be used in the production of veneer sheets and mainly.

 b) Sawn pieces:

Have a minimum diameter of 16 cms. Its main feature is that they are pieces that have not been pruned and it can get wood with knots, for use in construction, interior parts of higher value added products and further processing, such as moldings, parts and furniture parts, among others.

 c) Pieces pulpwood:

- Radiata Pine: pine pieces 12 cm and less than 8 to 12 cm in diameter, which usually have a length of 2.44 meters. Are obtained from forest management and harvesting.

- In Eucalyptus: Pieces of diameter of 5 cm and more, with a length of 2.44 to 3.50 meters or another. Are obtained from the harvest and are marketed, especially for pulp production.
